  To Ms. Howisen and Mr. Perez over in the bakery department. 4 times I have gone to get donuts for my wife after dinner from your bakery. Each time I stood there, practically shouting from the counter "Can I get some help" for 10-15min. This is absurd and the system needs a serious update. I worked in retail and at restaurants and we were always expected to watch for customers even during close. Again, this is just terrible customer service. Also, not sure what department this relates to, but I grab a lunch sandwich from you guys daily and twice I've found that the meat on the Italian was cut with the plastic wrap still on it. So I have chewy plastic in my sandwich from the salami. Ew.

  I gave the Verandah Publix 3 stars mainly due to the friendly and helpful staff. I buy most of my groceries at a cheaper store, but I do shop here for certain items, (deli meat, seafood, BOGOS). My main complaint is, and has always has been the hot case/sub counter. The subs are great, but it takes FOREVER to get one. The hot case however leaves much to be desired. First, it's usually almost always close to empty, even at dinnertime and on weekends. Second, most of what is in the case looks dry and like it's been sitting awhile. Third, there's usually a long line and a 20 minute wait for chicken. Also, they tend to put the breasts of the fried chicken, skin side down in the bottom of the box. This makes the skin soggy and it sticks to the box. I have called and spoke with the manager, explaining how disappointed I am when I'm tired from working all day and I just want to grab something quick out of the hot case for my family's dinner, and there's never anything there that's hot and ready to go! I've been twice in 4 days, same old same old, no fried chicken (20 minute wait), chicken tenders but no wedge fries or mac and cheese, no popcorn chicken, 1 small piece of dry pulled pork, no flat bread for pizzas! Ugh!!!!
